Julian lambed ~ February 28th, 2012!!

Well, early Tuesday morning, February 28th, 2012, Julian lambed (sometime around 3:30 or 4:00am). When my mom got up to check on her she already had lambed. She had two healthy regular sized ram lambs, one is mostly black with a white spot on his head and the other one is black and white spotted. The dam to the lambs is a %50Katahdin/%50Dorper ewe, Snicker's 2011 daughter (I don't have a name for her yet), and the sire is a Katahdin ram, Rocky.

Spotty

***** We no longer own her *****

Spotty is a nice and big ewe of ours. We got Spotty on September 10th, 2010 from the Warren Livestock Auction. I believe she was about 1 and a half to 2 months old when we got her. I don't know exactly what breed she is either, but I believe she is a Katahdin/Dorper cross or a White Dorper/Dorper cross. She has beautiful conformation, is built very muscular and is nice and big for her age.

New Arrivals!!

A week ago we bought 2 beautiful HUGE ewes. 1 is a massive red colored pregnant ewe (she is a hair sheep, NOT a Dorper. The only thing I can think that she is, is a St. Croix or a Katahdin or maybe those two crossed . . . . . . .but she has a roman nose and funky set ears). She also looks as if she is going to drop some lambs any day. The other looks like a big Katahdin/Dorper cross ewe. They are beautiful sheep!!
