New Finnish Landrace sheep!!

On Wednesday, March 14th, 2012 we got 3 new Finnish Landrace ewes. We got them from Connie Santos (thanks a LOT Connie for the sheep!!). Two of them are adult 2 year old ewes and the third one is a registrable month old bottle eweling. They are all three white and two of them have some little spots around their eyelids. The 2 ewes come from excellent bloodlines, but are not registered. Their dams are registered, but two registered Finn rams got in with them and thus we do not know who the sire is.

Here are some pictures ~

This one was bred to a registered Finn ram and is due in August.

This one was bred to a registered Finn ram and is due in June.

New Finnish Landrace ram!!

On Wednesday, January 18th, 2012 we got a new registerable Finnish Landrace ram. He is a faded brown color with one very skinny little white stripe down his face. He was born in March of 2011 and his name is Boulder Ridge Rolling Thunder. We got him from Cindy Smith at Boulder Ridge farm. Thanks a lot Cindy for the beautiful ram, I really like him!!

I will try to post some pictures of him later sometime when I can.

New Arrivals!!

A week ago we bought 2 beautiful HUGE ewes. 1 is a massive red colored pregnant ewe (she is a hair sheep, NOT a Dorper. The only thing I can think that she is, is a St. Croix or a Katahdin or maybe those two crossed . . . . . . .but she has a roman nose and funky set ears). She also looks as if she is going to drop some lambs any day. The other looks like a big Katahdin/Dorper cross ewe. They are beautiful sheep!!

New Arrivals

Well, its been a little while since I posted last. So, I'm just doing a quick post for now. We just got back home a few hours ago or so with a lot of birds and 3 NEW Jacob sheep! They are really nice and big. Two of them are ewes and one is a wether. The wether has two horns, his name is Little Bit. One of the ewes has three horns, her name is Sophia. And the other ewe has four horns, her name is Izzy. They are all VERY nice. I plan on shearing them  in the next week or so.

Here are some pictures of them ~
