New sheep

Well, me, my dad and a few other siblings of mine went down to Windom, TX Sunday afternoon (August 1st, 2011). We picked up 10 hair sheep (3 rams and 7 ewes), along with 14 adult dairy does (7 in milk, 5 not in milk), 5 doelings, 7 bucklings, from a goat dairy that was going out of business. Of the sheep there are two black and white Painted Desert ewes, 1 black and white yearling ram, 2 adult Desert Sand ewes, 1 Mouflon cross ramling, 3 Mouflon cross (Painted Desert) ewelings and 1 REALLY nice mainly Mouflon ram.

Here are some pictures of them ~

Daisy

Daisy is a beautiful Painted Desert ewe. She was born in the fall of 2009 and was bottle fed, thus she is very friendly and almost always comes running up to me when I'm out there. I am in the process of getting her registered with the PDSS (Painted Desert Sheep Society). Daisy has decent conformation and has great coloring. She is due in September, and was bred by a very nice and big, black and white ram who is a JJ's Desert White Flash grandson.

New Arrivals

Well, its been a little while since I posted last. So, I'm just doing a quick post for now. We just got back home a few hours ago or so with a lot of birds and 3 NEW Jacob sheep! They are really nice and big. Two of them are ewes and one is a wether. The wether has two horns, his name is Little Bit. One of the ewes has three horns, her name is Sophia. And the other ewe has four horns, her name is Izzy. They are all VERY nice. I plan on shearing them  in the next week or so.

Panda

Panda is our Finnish sheep soon to become herd sire as of right now. He is a BEAUTIFUL bottle raised Finnish ram. He has great conformation and is just really nice and big. Panda also has REALLY nice and crimped black and white wool. We got him and his two sisters and brother (he is a quadruplet) the day after they were born. Him and his three siblings where born on Thursday, March 3rd, 2011. Panda is a VERY big baby. When I go down to his pen I say "Babies" or "Panda Boy" and he comes running up to the fence crying at me. He is a big sweetie pie.

Also you could go here to see his registration ~ http://littlehillssheepranch.blogspot.com/2011/11/fsb-617-panda.html .
