Big Salmon

Big Salmon is a very big beautiful red colored Katahdin ram. He has EXCELLENT conformation and is built very muscular and nice for his age. We got him and one other ram on Friday October 16th, 2011. I believe that he is 4 to 6 months old. All of our Katahdin ewes are bred already to a different ram except for two ewes. One is Spot, I plan on breeding her to Big Salmon when she comes into heat again, and the second one is Spot's July born eweling . . . I don't plan to breed her for several months.

Here are some pictures ~

The first two pictures are over a month old, and the third picture is more than few weeks old too. I will try to get more recent pictures of him sometime soon.

614 Mount Cayley

Mount Cayley is a registered Finnish Landrace ewe of ours. Cayley is, Monte Cristallo's and Panda's full sister. They where born on Thursday, March 3rd, 2011, are quadruplets and were bottle raised. We got her and her two brothers (1 white and 1 black) and one sister (white) the day after they were born. She is not as nice as her sister (Monte Cristallo), but she still has decent conformation and is pretty big for her age. She also has really nice, soft and crimped white wool.

Cayley is such a big sweet baby. When I go out to their pen she comes up to me and gives me kisses and just wants me to pet her. We sold one of her brothers and kept her other sister and one brother. She is registered with the American Finnsheep Breeders Association. If you would like to see her registration you could go here ~ http://littlehillssheepranch.blogspot.com/2011/11/fsb-614-mount-cayleys-registrations.html .

Both Cayley and her sister are bred back to their full brother, named Panda. They are both due on the same day on April 28th . . . can't wait until they lamb!

Spotty

***** We no longer own her *****

Spotty is a nice and big ewe of ours. We got Spotty on September 10th, 2010 from the Warren Livestock Auction. I believe she was about 1 and a half to 2 months old when we got her. I don't know exactly what breed she is either, but I believe she is a Katahdin/Dorper cross or a White Dorper/Dorper cross. She has beautiful conformation, is built very muscular and is nice and big for her age.

Caraballo

Caraballo is a Painted Desert eweling of ours. She is a BEAUTIFUL black and white spotted ewe. I will be registering her with the PDSS registry, Lord willing. She was born on March 1st, 2011, and is a single. If you would like to know more about her birth you can go here ~  http://littlehillssheepranch.blogspot.com/2011/09/amy-lambed-march-1st-2011.html . Her sire is Little Hills Clyde (who we no longer own), her dam is Little Hills Amy (who we no longer own now), her grandma on her dam's side is Little Hills Frosty and her aunt is Little Hills Appalachia. I plan to breed Caraballo to our black and white ram Eldorado when she is ready to be bred.
