Brenta

Brenta is a HUGE Dorper ewe of ours. She has nice conformation and is VERY big, nice and muscular. We got her from the Warren Livestock Auction in Leach, OK back in 2011. I do not know who her owners are, so I cannot say exactly how old she is and I can not say that she is a purebred Dorper.

You can go here to see her 2012 lambing ~ http://littlehillssheepranch.blogspot.com/2012/02/brenta-lambed-february-15th-2012.html

Brenta lambed ~ February 15th, 2012!!

Brenta lambed Wednesday to twins. She had them just fine with no issues. She had 1 ewe lamb and 1 ram lamb. We do not know who the sire to the lambs is, because we got Brenta when she was bred. From looking at the lambs it looks like the sire was a Painted Desert or Barbados or something along those lines.

Snickers

Snickers is a very big, black and white Dorper ewe of ours. She does not have the perfect Dorper markings, but that is just fine with me. She does not have the best conformation or build, but she still has a very nice, big and muscular built body. I believe she is about 5 to 6 years old. She was bred to Rocky, a Katahdin ram and had triplets back in January of 2011 . . . 1 girl and 2 boys. They were/are very nice and big sheep . . . she throws beautiful offspring. She was bred again to Rocky, the Katahdin ram and is due sometime soon.

Here are some pictures ~

The first 3 pictures are of her back in 2009 or 2010 I believe.

The rest of the pictures below are of her near the end of 2011.

Diamond

Diamond is a black and white Katahdin/Dorper ram that we used to own. He was about 3 years old when we got him. He has GREAT conformation and is built very big and muscular. We got him and another ram on October 16th, 2011. We bred him to a few ewes and then sold him, because we just did not need him anymore (it was not because we didn't like him).

New Rams!!

On Friday, October 16th, 2011 we bought two really nice rams. One is a really nice, big black and white Katahdin/Dorper cross ram with great conformation and is very nicely built with a very meaty/muscular body. His name is Diamond and he is coming up on 3 years old. The 2nd one is also a very nice, big red Katahdin ramling with excellent conformation and is nicely built with a very muscular body. I don't know his age, but he is very young still, he has no mane and his face still looks like a baby. I believe he is around 3 to 4 months old. We tried to breed him to one of our ewes and he is still to young to breed, which means he is real young because Katahdin rams usually can breed at 4 to 6 months of age. His name is Big Salmon.
